Web users now have the opportunity to judge three new criminal cases, as more examples have been added to the popular ‘You be the Judge online’.
The interactive website, which aims to demystify the sentencing process, invites users to hear the facts of a case based on a real-life crime through short videos and then decide on the appropriate sentence.
They can then see if their sentence matches the one handed down by the judge sitting in the actual case, and compare it to how other viewers voted.
You be the Judge, developed by the Ministry of Justice, went live earlier this year and has already attracted over 10,000 visits.
