European cooperation of probation services on the way
Probation is on the move in Europe. "The probation point of view to all kinds of legal decisions and regulations is heard better and better on the European level", says CEP Secretary General Leo Tigges. "Take for example the upcoming EU legislation on probation. This will undoubtedly lead to more cooperation between the different European probation services, which simply requires a comprehensive reference book like Probation in Europe."
