An implementation study of the delivery of domestic abuse programmes in probation areas and Her Majesty’s Prison Service.
by Karen Bullock, Sophie Sarre, Roger Tarling and Mike Wilkinson
This study explored the delivery of accredited programmes for domestic violence offenders in custody and community settings – specifically to assess the extent to which these programmes were being implemented as intended.
The study found that many aspects of the programmes were delivered as intended, particularly the main group work element, as well as identifying further strengths and weaknesses in programme delivery and will be useful in developing best practice.
