Abstract
The topic area for this dissertation is drug use and music festivals. The chosen central research question is 'Do U.K. alternative music festivals provide a 'pro-drug' environment?'. The main aim of the dissertation is to establish if U.K. alternative music festivals provide an environment whereby use of illicit drugs is, accepted, expected, and 'normalised' (Parker et al, 1998).
